The Journal of Sustainable Engineering & Green Technologies follows ethical authorship and conflict of interest practices to ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in scholarly publishing.
Authorship Policy
Authorship credit is given only to individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.
Criteria for Authorship
An individual qualifies as an author only if they have:
- Made substantial contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the study
- Drafted the manuscript or critically revised it for important intellectual content
- Approved the final version of the manuscript before submission
- Agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work
The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal and for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript before submission.
Individuals who contribute only through funding acquisition, general supervision, language editing, administrative support, or technical assistance should be acknowledged appropriately but should not be listed as authors.
Ghost authorship, guest authorship, and gift authorship are considered unethical and are strictly prohibited.
Changes in Authorship
Any addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after manuscript submission must be:
- Requested in writing by the corresponding author
- Approved by all listed authors, including those being added or removed
- Supported by a clear explanation for the requested change
The journal reserves the right to reject authorship changes that do not comply with ethical publishing standards.
Conflict of Interest (COI) Policy
A conflict of interest exists when an author’s personal, financial, academic, or professional relationships could influence or appear to influence the research process, interpretation, or publication decisions.
Disclosure Requirements
All authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including but not limited to:
- Financial relationships such as grants, employment, consultancies, honoraria, patents, or stock ownership
- Personal or professional relationships
- Institutional, organizational, or political affiliations that may affect the research

Editorial and Reviewer COI
Editors and reviewers must also disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict exists.
Editors and reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained through the peer review process for personal or professional advantage.
Transparency and Disclosure
Disclosed conflicts of interest may be published alongside the article when relevant to ensure transparency and maintain trust in the scholarly record.
Failure to disclose relevant conflicts of interest may result in manuscript rejection, publication correction, or article retraction.
By submitting a manuscript to the Journal of Sustainable Engineering & Green Technologies, authors agree to comply with this Authorship and Conflict of Interest Policy and uphold ethical scholarly publishing standards.
